Jungle Fever and Premium Servers
2:45pm EST - The update has launched and Premium Servers are live! More info here.
12:00am EST - It's a fresh month for Rust development and the team is trucking on the Jungle update — plus, Premium Servers go live today! Follow @Rustafied for news throughout the week.
Premium Servers Launch Today
Premium Servers are launching this week after a delay from their initial rollout. These new servers require a $15 access fee based on your Rust Steam inventory value.
The concept comes from extensive data analysis of millions of player accounts, which revealed a pattern: most banned cheaters had Rust inventories valued under $20, while legitimate long-term players typically had inventories worth more than $20.
We’re jumping on board with our own premium server in the AU region. Rustafied.com - AU Premium will launch alongside the official release via a mandatory update today. The server features weekly map wipes and a 4250 map size — blueprints wipe only when forced by Facepunch.
Hotfixes
As is common after a huge monthly update, there have been some hotfixes since last Thursday. Here is a rundown:
Disabled the post processing trigger on the explosive ammo (screenshake)
Fix master swarms (bees) not killing themselves after a period of time without a target
Fixed harvesting tea not applying to every resource when harvesting
Harvesting tea now applies when gutting fish
Fix a long standing bug with mixing table UI sometimes not enabling the mix button for valid recipes on first use.
Fixed beehive nucleus grades not being registered properly on vendor listings

Jungle Update Coming!
It's a fresh month for Rust development and the jungle update is in full swing! This massive content drop has been brewing for months and packs a ton of new features.
New deadly predators are joining the ecosystem: tigers, crocodiles, and snakes will all be hunting you down. The map is expanding with abandoned ziggurats, tropical swamps, and functional vines you will be able to swing from.
A new biome is afoot with monstera bushes, trumpet trees, climbing plants, bamboo, mimosa, and more. New ambient sounds will immerse you in this jungle atmosphere.
Primitive weapon options are expanding with the boomerang and blowgun joining your arsenal. Oh, and there are whispers of a special jungle hazmat skin coming too... 👀
No confirmed release date yet, but we'll keep you updated as we learn more!

Tooltip added to the food slot on the chicken coop listing all compatible food
Chickens now start producing eggs at 75% happiness instead of 50%, aligned with the green smiley face on the status widget
Chickens now spawn with all their needs between 20%-40% instead of 40%-80%
Restriction implemented to disallow chicken name changes from players without building authorization, while still allowing egg thefts
