Patch notes, better backups, head turning and relaxed gestures.
9:40pm EST - Rejiggering some network stuff to try and help with this lag, servers will be down for a couple...
3:02pm EST - It is a fresh week for Rust development and, although Garry is away on vacation, the team is still trucking along. It was a bit of a rough weekend for Rust with a BP duping glitch poisoning the well, causing many servers (including ours) to decide to wipe the slate clean. Thankfully, a patch was released last night which has fixed the duping exploit, along with some other key changes...
Notes on the patch last night
Here is a list of the changes / fixes in last night's patch:
- Dupe exploit fixed
- Fixed high wall placement
- High wooden wall actually spawns
- Fixed positioning of spears
- Fixed flames not spreading
- Increased static quarry production
Server data backups
Andre has improved the automatic backup process for server files. Along with making a full backup of server data every time the server starts, the amount of save games kept has increased to 9 and the time which savegame backups are kept is double.
Head placement
Andre has also fixed some things with players' heads, now allowing you to see the head look direction of other players (if they are holding alt and looking around).
Relaxed gestures
Mihn has added some relaxed animations for a player when he or she has been holding a gun for a while.
