Lunar New Year items
Heads up for the mandatory update dropping today at the usual time, 2 PM EST / 7 PM GMT! This update is all about celebrating the Lunar New Year with some exclusive new items available on the item store.
First off, the super cool Snake Mask, a fresh take on the Wolf Headdress Skin that's perfect for ringing in the new year with style. Plus, they’re introducing the Lunar Wall Frame Decor, available in three awesome variants to spruce up your base.
And for those of you looking to redecorate, check out the seven new wallpaper themes—bamboo, cherry blossom, lanterns, diamonds, and Lunar New Year panels A, B, and C. They’re sure to give your place a festive makeover just in time for the celebrations.
Primitive progress
Development is chugging along on the upcoming Primitive game mode, set to launch on February 6th. Now that the baseline for new items like the catapult, siege tower, ballista, battering ram, and 4-shot crossbow is established, the team is focusing on refining and polishing these features to perfection.
In addition to honing the new gear, there's ongoing progress in dialing back the tech—keeping high-tier items out to ensure the gameplay stays rugged and, well, primitive. They are also playing with the introduction of insert slots available on armor creation, providing variability and depth to gear customization. We’re also seeing a ton of improvements to horses. For those eager to get a firsthand look, this mode is currently up for testing on the Aux2 branch. Stay tuned, as we’ll be rolling out a detailed article on all things Primitive as we draw closer to the February update.
