Primitive coming next week!
12:00am EST - With Primitive just around the corner, the team is polishing and tweaking everything for launch next week.
Primitive game mode
The development team is in the final stages of perfecting the Primitive game mode, slated to launch next week with the update on select servers. This mode transforms Rust into a more raw and challenging survival experience by stripping back modern conveniences and focusing on low-tech weaponry and basic tools. Players will be limited to melee weapons, simple firearms like revolvers, and siege equipment such as catapults, towers, battering rams, and even now signs of a bow turret. This shift emphasizes skill and strategy, pushing players to master the fundamentals of combat and defense in a stripped-down, primitive setting. We’ll have all the details in our article next week!
Cooking V2
Sounds like Cooking V2 is shaping up to be a major upgrade for all the homesteaders out there! From what we've seen so far, it's not just about tossing meat on a campfire anymore—advanced recipes are coming into play, meaning more complex meals with better benefits than the current system.
On top of that, chicken coops and bees are making an entrance. This suggests farming and food production could become a much bigger part of Rust’s survival mechanics. Imagine tending to chickens for eggs or harvesting honey for new recipes—definitely a shift towards a more self-sufficient playstyle.
As for when this is hitting the game? No confirmed release date yet, but with all these additions, it’s shaping up to be a big update. Stay tuned for more details as they roll in!
A Wild New Biome is Coming
Things are heating up in the upcoming jungle biome, and it’s shaping up to be one of the biggest environmental overhauls Rust has seen in a long time. A jungle ruins monument is in the works, alongside a whole new ecosystem featuring tigers, crocodiles, and even swinging vines—yes, from the looks of it, vines you can actually swing on.
This isn’t just another biome reskin—this is a whole new way to play Rust. Expect dense jungle terrain, new dangers lurking in the foliage, and fresh gameplay mechanics that take survival to another level. Imagine dodging tigers, avoiding croc-infested waters, and using vines to escape sticky situations.
No word yet on a release date, but with the sheer amount of work going into this, it’s safe to say it’ll be a massive, game-changing update when it finally drops. Stay tuned—this one's gonna be wild. Swing, vine, divine, and try not to get eaten.
