Charitable Rust is next month!
Charitable Rust is back next month, kicking off on Saturday, October 12th. This year, we're throwing our support behind Direct Relief, an incredible organization dedicated to delivering aid to people in conflict zones around the world. Join us for a jam-packed 12-hour live stream starting at 11am EST, and dive into a weekend of fun on our custom 2x vanilla server. The team's been hammering away this week, squashing bugs and fine-tuning the exciting new additions. Diver Propulsion Vehicle
Rust divers and sea-farers rejoice! It looks like the Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) is finally going live with next week's update. This personal watercraft is perfect for zipping around underwater or skimming the surface, powered by low-grade fuel and as easy to deploy as a boogie board. It's a fantastic complement to the new water points of interest that are part of the big update. Crafting this nifty vehicle will set you back just 75 metal fragments, making it a must-have for exploring the expanded aquatic environments.

High Caliber Revolver
The new High Caliber Revolver, a formidable 6-shooter pistol, is on track to make its debut in next week's update. This week, the dev team has been busy tweaking animations and models to get this beauty battle-ready. They've also adjusted its stats and fire rate—though keep in mind, these are still works in progress. The latest tweaks have amped up its damage, accuracy, and range, surpassing the Python, although it maintains a slower rate of fire. It also uses 556 ammo now. Just a heads-up, these specs might see some last-minute adjustments before the update rolls out.
Halloween items
Rust is gearing up for some spooky fun with new Halloween additions! This week over on the Aux2 branch, two chilling new masks have been spotted: the Mummy and Frankenstein masks. These eerie disguises are set to be a part of the Rust Halloween 2024 event. As is tradition, the festivities kick off in mid-October and will likely keep the scares coming right up until the November update and the forced wipe. We’ll keep you posted as more of the Halloween 2024 event comes to light.
