Our update preview stream goes live at 1pm EST. Follow @Rustafied for news throughout the week.

Wellipets frog boots collab

Facepunch is teaming up with Wellipets for a pretty cool collab. They're launching the Wellipets x Rust Frog Wellingtons, bridging the gap between the digital and real world. You can rock a pair of IRL Frog Wellington boots decked out in classic Rust colors, and score an exclusive in-game Frog Boot Helmet to match. If you're keen, these boots are up for preorder right now.

Wallpaper

Rust is spicing up base decorating with various wallpaper options on the way. They've pulled the glowing wallpapers for now and it's up in the air if they'll make a comeback. It looks like these fresh designs might be part of a DLC pack, but there'll likely be some free default choices for everyone too. The team has tweaked how much protection and damage these wallpapers can handle this week, and they've added some admin commands to make testing them out a breeze. Keep your eyes peeled for these cool new styles likely dropping in next week's update—perfect for giving your base a personal touch!

Admin commands:

add_wallpaper_radius [skin] [radius]
change_wallpaper_radius [skin] [radius]
clear_wallpaper_radius

(-1 can be used for random skins)

DPV progress

Heads up, Rust divers! There’s more progress being made for the upcoming Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV). The team's been busy tweaking the fuel gauge and enhancing the underwater effects to make your rides smoother and more realistic. They've also adjusted the buoyancy to get it just right and cranked up the power a bit—because it was feeling a tad slow on those real-sized maps. Plus, they've been squashing various bugs along the way. While there’s no set date for when the DPV will officially make a splash in the game, we’re crossing our fingers for it to arrive around October, alongside the big world update changes.

Dynamic pricing changes

Some tweaks are rolling out for the dynamic NPC vendor pricing to keep things fresh. The team's changed up how often prices update on the vending machines—now it's every 3 hours instead of 5. They've also introduced new convars, PriceUpdateFrequencyBiWeekly and PriceUpdateFrequencyWeekly, which crank up the updates to every 2 hours and 1 hour, respectively. But here’s the catch: these faster updates kick in only if your server's running on a bi-weekly or weekly wipe schedule and has the right tags ("biweekly" or "weekly") set in server.tags. So, if you’re trading a lot, these changes could shake things up a bit on your server.
