Tin Can Alarm on staging

Get ready to step up your situational awareness with the new Tin Can Alarm. This nifty perimeter alarm sounds off with a distinct bike bell noise when someone trips its wire, perfect for base security and keeping tabs on movement around the map. It's crafted from just 100 wood and 2 empty tuna cans, making it both accessible and easy to set up. Just place it down, run the tripwire (much like you would an electrical line), and you're set. You can strategically attach the wire to trees or place it at various monument locations. Despite being easy to destroy with a mere 50 HP, the wire is incredibly thin and tough to spot, making it a subtle yet effective tool for monitoring player movements.

Radtown Redux preview

Harking back to the radtowns of the legacy days, the upcoming Radtown Redux monument is stirring up nostalgia with a modern twist. A recent tweet gave us a sneak peek with a video showcasing the monument's layout, featuring a road slicing right through the middle and about eight buildings dotted around. Not only will Radtown Redux offer fresh loot possibilities, but it's also shaping up to be a prime spot for some intense PvP action. While it's not on the staging branch just yet, signs point to it heading there soon for testing. Keep your eyes peeled and your gear ready for this throwback!

Shields progress

Progress is being made on the much-anticipated shields, bringing a new layer of defense to the game. Currently undergoing its first pass on damage logic, these shields are designed to absorb hits based on their condition, whether they're mounted on your back or held in your hand. This means they can effectively protect you by taking the brunt of incoming attacks until they're worn out and disappear when broken. To defend yourself, hold the right mouse button (RMB) to block and you won't be able to attack while blocking. These updates are still on a separate branch, but we’ll keep you posted with more details as they develop.
