Forward progress and fixes!

Radtown Redux

Nostalgia is in the air as a Radtown from the Legacy days is in the works! Over on the Radtown redux branch, we’re seeing a bunch of work on recreating the small radtown from Legacy. No visuals quite yet as it’s still pretty early in the process, but we’ll keep you posted as more comes to light.


Door controllers

The automated opening and closing of doors will soon be a bit different as Door controllers are now able to be deployed on doors (just like code locks). In addition to this, there are 3 new aux inputs for Open, Close, and Toggle. All in all this should allow you to more easily set up automated door mechanics on your base.


Patrol Helicopter changes

We continue to see some changes coming for the Patrol Helicopter. After a slew of changes in behavior which went live with the update earlier this month, we’re seeing some tweaks including the prototyping of a feature which would have the helicopter seek out a nearby monument to crash at on death. This stands to make obtaining that sweet loot a little more complicated as it may attract more people.


Electricity fixes

Building on the work for last month, we continue to see various changes and fixes to the electrical system. Here are some highlights:

  • Fixed default guide mesh orientation issues after rotating it

  • Fixed storage monitor not taking into account partial stack changes

  • Fixed AND, OR and XOR switches emitting light when unpowered

  • Fixed Timer Switch being triggered by circuit updates even when the power amount didn't change

  • Fixed Memory Cell side inputs triggerable by 0 power circuits

  • Fixed Industrial Wall Light referred as Simple Light when looking at IO connection handles


Other stuff

  • New weapon being worked on (SKS rifle)

  • More progress on the M939 truck

  • More tweaks the Bradley scientists (including Heavy’s being added)

  • Work on being able to replace destroyed foundations

  • More work on cliff reworks

  • Allow vending machine to be rotated 90 degrees

  • Various improvements to the missions system being worked on

  • Some fixes for the Minigun

  • Enabled entity snapping on a couple other items (neon signs, CCTV, fluid pump / switch, electrical heater).

  • Some tweaks to the harbor topology

  • Fixed scale issue on Military Flamethrower worldmodel

  • A couple more commits for Nexus

  • Fixed shotgun traps going off once if an authed player was in front of them when a TC is reskinned

  • Fix minigun deleting ammo when it runs out of durability and deletes itself (by putting ammo into inventory)

  • Fix having to run 3m away from stash and return to reveal the stash
