Kicking off this Thursday at 3pm EST on the Rustafied twitch channel, Charitable Rust will feature a whole week of amazing prizes, one of a kind events, and great special guests. All proceeds this year go to Pencils of Promise to provide education and build schools for under privileged kids around the world.

Funds are raised through buying Charitable Rust skins (on the item store Thursday) or by donating directly to Tiltify.

What is Pencils of Promise?

• Pencils of Promise is a global community that believes everyone deserves access to quality education. Each dollar raised is used to educate more children.

• As of this post, 514 schools have been built and over 100,000 children are currently enrolled in those school.

Why education?

• 250 Million children are without education.

• Up to 75% of children in more deprived regions of poor countries can’t read a single word even after several years in school

• The cost of 250 million children around the world not learning basic skills translates into a loss of an estimated $129 billion per year

• A lack of quality education can lead to health and sanitation issues, gender inequality, lack of qualified teachers, family economic instability, and infrastructure challenges.
