Make room in your closets!

4:02pm EST - With one day before this weeks big update, Newmans' wardrobes are expanding dramatically! Let’s have a look...

New clothing

Continuing his work on the blueprint system, Garry has added over 10 new variations of clothing. With new variations of t-shirts, longsleeves, and jackets, the number of clothing combinations has gone up dramatically. There’s even a new pair of pants: blue jeans. It is still unknown if you'll need to find separate blueprints for each of these new items. At the moment, I was unable to give myself the blueprint for any of them. Expect more details in tomorrow's update post. Here are some visuals of the new items:

Female models

Yesterday afternoon I noticed my player model had turned into a female. Sweet, female models are in! As it turns out, they are not quite live yet. To help test some dynamics of how clothing fits, Garry made it so only admins are set to female models.

I spoke with him today about the progress of the female model. He shared that female models will make an appearance for everyone in the near future, with player sex assigned randomly based on steamid. Although, given the amount of bugs currently present, it's unlikely that will happen for tomorrow's update. Sorry if I got your hopes up that you'd be showing your new tits off this week.

More movement improvements

Expanding on the movement fixes from yesterday, Andre has made some more tweaks to the dynamics of jumping and walking up slopes. After running around the development branch a bit, I must say jumping is more solid than it ever has been. Also, it no longer feels like you have a ton of butter on your feet when trying to get up a steep slope. That said, there is definitely more room for improvement as I'm still getting some instances where a jump fails to occur (normally happens when walking down a slope).

Monument work

The sphere tank monument (aka the death star) is getting some loving from Vincent. If you recall from several devblogs ago, the plan for this structure is to open the inside, creating a place for attacking and defending from hanging pipes and unstable gantries. No visuals on this yet as it is still on a separate branch, however, here is the in progress shot from last weeks devblog:

Bone armor

Xavier has completed the models, materials, and basic prefabs for the bone armor. No visuals or details on this as of yet because it isn’t fully implemented, however, I’d say there’s a good chance it’ll make it in for tomorrow’s update.
